Scion Sponsors Cincinnati’s Midpoint Music Festival

Scion, Toyota’s youth-focused brand, will offer attendees at the 2008 Cincinnati MidPoint Music Festival shuttle service as part of its sponsorship of the event.

This year the festival will feature more than 185 bands on 17 stages throughout the downtown area and organizers are expecting to attract more than 40,000 ticket holders to the weekend-long festival.

Serving as the "official ride," 20 Scion xB's will continuously shuttle festivalgoers on a route that models Cincinnati's proposed streetcar line, making stops at nine locations running north on Main Street, west on 12th Street, back south on Walnut Street, and east on 5th.

The rides are free for everyone with a one- or three-day MidPoint wristband and will run from 7-11 p.m. Thursday and 8 p.m.-midnight Friday and Saturday.

As part of the sponsorship, Scion will also raffle off prize packages to five lucky winners, each of whom will receive a pair of three-day festival passes. In addition, a grand prize winner will receive two additional three-day concert passes, dinner for four at local eatery Dewey's Pizza, dedicated use of a Scion xB shuttle on all three nights and an Eastwood guitar.
