LeapFrog Sponsors Jumpstart's Read for the Record Campaign

10/02/2008 - Leapfrog Enterprises, a developer of technology-based learning products, will sponsor Jumpstart's Read for the Record campaign and intensive early education program. In addition to its national sponsorship, LeapFrog will provide employee volunteers to deliver hundreds of books—donated by LeapFrog—to preschools in the San Francisco Bay Area and will participate in the October 2nd Read for the Record event at the San Francisco Public Library.

The Madden Challenge kicked off on Sept. 5 in Los Angeles and will continue on an 18-city, two-month tour of NFL towns across the nation. The event culminates in a final tournament event held at Beaches Turks & Caicos Resort and Spa featuring the new Italian Village where gamers will be competing for a chance at $85,000 in total prizes.

Ubisoft Gives Buzz Cuts To Promote New Video Game

09/17/2008 - To get the word out about Hell’s Highway, the third installment in its Brothers In Arms World War II-themed video game series, game publisher Ubisoft offered attendees at this year’s Penny Arcade Expo (PAX) an authentic taste of military life—with a twist. From Aug. 29 to Aug. 31, show attendees could stop by the brand’s recruiting station to get a traditional military-style buzz cut with the word “hell” etched into their hair. Volunteers received a free copy of the game, which releases on Sept. 23.

AT&T Connects With Seniors

09/12/2008 - AT&T is connecting with the over-65 set this fall by hosting a series of free educational events throughout the Northeast. The regional Cell Phones for Seniors and Surfing for Seniors program kicked off at senior centers in Connecticut and Massachusetts in mid-August, and will likely expand to other states.
