Kinetic Membrane Facade
FLARE is a modular system that can be used to create a dynamic surface for facades or any building or wall surface. Like living skin, it allows a building to express, communicate and interact with its environment. FLARE can transform a building facade into a penetrable kinetic membrane, breaking with all conventions of the building surface as a static skin. Using a unique kinetic system of actuators and sculptural elements that regulate shadows on the surface of the facade, FLARE is a compelling and unique medium in which the skin of the building itself becomes dynamic.
