123D Catch software turns photos into 3D renderings
CAD company Autodesk has released a beta version of its new software, 123D Catch. This application which is currently only for PC computers, harnesses cloud computation to stitch multiple photos of an object or place into detailed 3D models. Users simply take multiple pictures of the desired object, and the software generates a detailed high resolution 3D mesh. This virtual object can be instantly used in most 3D modeling applications.
